- Call AT&T on 800.331.0500, or choose Chat when it is available, and ask to cancel service or remove a line
- Expect the full bill period to be charged: AT&T does not prorate from the cancel date
- Any unpaid installment balance, accessories included, is due immediately and appears on the final bill
- Activated within the last 14 days? Use the AT&T Wireless Return Policy to return the device and cancel
- Keeping your number? Do not disconnect AT&T first, or the number has to be reactivated before it can move. Turn off Wireless Account Lock if it is on
- Request a Number Transfer PIN: sign in, open your account profile, select Settings, scroll to Transfer phone number and select Request new PIN. The AT&T app has the same option, or call *PORT from the AT&T phone
- Give the PIN and your account details to the new provider within 4 days, when the PIN expires. One PIN covers every number on the account
- Unlock the device first if you plan to use it on the new network
