Cancel Balance

Every route starts in the Balance app. For a web subscription: Profile, Settings, Account Status, Cancel subscription, pick a reason, then Manage Subscription, which opens the billing page where you press Cancel plan twice. Apple and Google purchases are cancelled in those stores.

Then Balance cannot cancel it for you. Use the store you paid through instead.

Open Balance and tap Profile, then the gear icon for Settings
Tap Account Status, then Cancel subscription
Choose a reason and continue
On the cancellation instructions screen tap Manage Subscription
On the billing page tap Cancel plan, then confirm
If you bought through Apple or Google Play, cancel in that store's subscriptions screen instead
