Cancel HCF

HCF publishes nothing about cancelling. There is no cancellation page, no form and no article, and the member portal and My Membership app are described only as places to manage cover. The route left is the general enquiries line, 13 13 34.

Steps

Call HCF on 13 13 34, Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm Australian eastern time
Say you want to cancel the policy, not change the cover
Ask for written confirmation and the date cover ends
If you are switching funds, the new fund can usually transfer you so your served waiting periods carry over
Check the Medicare Levy Surcharge and Lifetime Health Cover loading before dropping hospital cover
